Annual Appeal, Reflections & looking forward

Looking back at 2013:

Dear Friends,
The board of Gravity Arts would like to extend our warmest holiday wishes to our friends and supporters. 2013 has been an exciting time for us and we are sincerely thankful for each one of you for the contributions that have enabled us to grow and carry out our mission of community renewal through the arts. Whether you represented us by performing at Duellen’s Street Fair or Harvest Festival, exhibited art for our galleries, or worked behind the scenes to develop our educational, fine arts or musical programs, your efforts are deeply appreciated. We would not have been able to achieve any of the goals we have without your generosity of spirit.

2013 has been one of renewal for Gravity as well. Since January our board has worked together to develop programming in education, fine arts and community development. To that end we have connected with the Dunellen school district, various art galleries on both sides of the Hudson, as well as community-based arts organizations such as Skylight Theatre Company and The Arts Annex. Each of these connections has cemented our role in the community, better positioning us to carry out our mission of revitalizing communities through the arts.

As we reflect on the past year and all that your support has helped us achieve we are keenly aware that we would not be able to carry on without you. We hope to be able to once again count on your support. As a non-profit organization we depend upon the generous donations of those who share our vision in order to continue the initiatives we have begun as well as those we anticipate embarking on in the next year. Programs such as after-school and summer arts instruction, family-based ESL programs, partnership with local colleges that will allow us to offer creative instruction for credit, monthly Jazz nights at Maggie Murray’s, sponsored art shows as well as other cooperative community events .

Please consider supporting gravity in any amount you are able.

Make a tax deductible donation in support of our exhibitions, residencies and educational programs.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of our funders and the individual donors who make our programs possible.
